The remnants of the nomad stallholders become fertile grounds for the local people: immigrants of various nationalities and italians are concentrated in finding useful debris. The scene becomes an alternative market, a huge tragic "home sweet home"
I banchetti dei venditori ambulanti lasciano la scena alla gente che vive il quartiere; extracomunitari di diverse nazionalità ma anche tanti italiani che osservo assorti nel recuperare resti di ogni tipo. E'il momento del mercato alternativo, una grande "Casa dolce casa" ribaltata.

Hackney's Flags (Hackney, East London dic. 2011-2012)

Hackney is one of the of the many areas of London populated with a Tower of Babel of languages, a multitude of color, habits and ethnic groups that intersect and coexist in empathy.

Hackney will host the 2012 Olympic games. This year its multiethnic and multicultural appearance will be enriched with the multi-sports appearance. Some parts of the city are changing for this reason. New buoldings and venues for athletes, Media and facilities for people are transforming the urban landscape. The changing of the human landscape, instead, has been evolving for several years, since many Londoners have decided to move to this area, starting to open businesses and daily life within this Tower of Babel.

I captured some examples of people that live that piece of the city, with their thoughts, their movements and their slices of life.

Hackney is a “slice” as many that make one “big pie” which is London.

Hackney  è una delle tante aree di Londra popolate da una torre di babele di linguaggi, da una moltitudine di colori, abitudini ed etnie che si incrociano e convivono in armonia.

Hackney ospiterà le future Olimpiadi del 2012. Quest’anno il suo lato multietnico e dai volti culturali diversi, si arricchirà anche dell’aspetto multisportivo. Alcuni lati della città stanno per ovvi motivi cambiando. Nuove costruzioni e centri d’accoglienza per gli atleti, media e per il pubblico che li seguirà, stanno trasformando parte del paesaggio urbano. Il cambiamento del paesaggio umano è invece in evoluzione da alcuni anni, da quando molti cittadini londinesi hanno deciso di trasferirsi in questa zona, iniziando ad aprire attività e a vivere il loro “quotidiano” all’interno della Torre di Babele. 

Ho avuto modo di “catturare” alcuni esempi di persone che vivono questa fetta, con i loro pensieri, i loro movimenti e i loro spaccati di vita.

Hackney è una fetta come tante che compongono quella grande pastiera che è Londra.

1mo anniversario rivoluzione Tunisina, 14 gen. Murazzi su Po, Torino

Il 14 gennaio del 2011 l'Ex Rais Ben Alì fuggiva da Tunisi trovando rifugio in Arabia Saudita. Ad un anno della caduta, molti tunisini e Italiani si sono ritrovati oggi, in un clima di pace e condivisione.

Un anno è passato e molte cose sono cambiate. La gente è libera, la gente può manifestare, scrivere, sorridere. Sono ancora molti però i punti su cui occorre lavorare, primi fra tutti i problemi di tipo sociale ed economico.

La tunisia ora dovrà dimostrare di essere veramente una democrazia.

Quest'immagine non vuole rappresentare un quartiere specifico, non una città specifica, bensì una situazione globale di disagio spesso mascherata da una "facciata principale".
Una Casa che apre le porte a tutti, il Trend luccicante del nostro momento, una campagna pubblicitaria, una grande Allegoria.

Lost in translation ott.2011

Passing through the Balcan area.

Along the streets of post sovietic landscape, I find a special attitude with the soul feeling.
Looking from the window of the van, i'm capturing there.
Looking for a translation between the landscapes i see and my journey through them, i find this place which reveals the relics of a lived history.

Attraversando l'area dei Balcani.
Lungo le strade di un paesaggio post sovietico, trovo una speciale sinergia con personali stati d'animo.
Osservando dal finestrino dell'auto, catturo questi scorci.
Cercando una traduzione tra i paesaggi che mi passano davanti e il viaggio attraverso essi, trovo questo spazio che rivela le reliquie di una storia vissuta.
